What is Calisthenics?
Calisthenics is a unique blend of sport and art, combining the best elements of dance, singing, gymnastics, ballet, jazz, and musical theatre. As a sport, it promotes physical development, coordination, self-discipline, and teamwork. As an art, it fosters an appreciation for music, rhythm, and performance, while focusing on the beauty of correct technique. Classes are available for ages 3 and up, offering a dynamic experience where students can explore multiple skills in one exciting class.

At Roar, we believe that Calisthenics creates strong, confident performers, and the skills they learn can be transferred from the stage to everyday life.
Calisthenics involves a team of participants learning routines choreographed to music and presenting these routines on stage at competitions or concerts.
Pupils learn between two and five routines concurrently throughout the year. This is where the diversity of the sport is shown.
In addition to team items, participants can compete in solo and duo items.
